Women's Rugby is back and going strong on Maui thanks to Fani Kealoha, captain of the Central and South Maui team. The team, currently 18 strong with 10 U19s, is training Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:30 to 8:30 at the Kahului Community Center. Teams from Oahu, including Kahuku and Kalihi are coming to play us on May 29, 2010 at the First Annual Maui Rugby 7s Tournament. There is still plenty of time to join the team and to learn enough to have fun on the 29th. Just show up at KCC. We hope to have a team up and going in Lahaina by then too.

Fani Kealoha describes her vision of a Maui Women's Rugby Renewal. (Not, just joking around, ha ha ha)            The ladies are "all smiles" at practice. This group are the originals and have brought friends to grow the team.

Here are the originators practicng their "game faces."  Plenty of time to get this down by the 29th ladies (ha ha).  Individual photos are on Meet the Players page.
