The HYR has adopted the Midi Rugby Rules recommended by the IRB for U16 play in HYR matches. The HYR is playing 10 players per side, 5 in the forwards and 5 in the backs, no lifting in the line outs, no quick line outs, no crossing the tunnel for the scrum half, no fending off, no penalty kicks at goal and all conversion kicks from the center of the pitch. Otherwise its pretty much rugby as usual. A full set of the rules if available on the HYR website.
